Lazarus Funeral Home is a second generation family-owned funeral home, we have gained the knowledge, experience and outstanding service with which to honor the life of your loved one with care, dignity and integrity. You can expect us to assist you in attending to the funeral needs of your loved ones. We serve families throughout the island of St. Lucia.

For many years now,  the Funeral Home Ltd has built a solid reputation in the expertise of Repatriation. Services are provided where human remains can be shipped to or from St. Lucia. We can also prepare preliminary funeral arrangements with families over the phone, followed later by a meeting in St. Lucia at our head office.

Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Saturday: 8:00am – 12:00pm/1:00pm

On-Call Services are available at anytime of the day or night.

History

Lazarus Funeral Home Ltd was founded in 1986 by the late Mr. Michael O’Brian. A former employee of Cricks Funeral Home Ltd, Mr. O’Brian decided to open his funeral home in Vieux Fort where it took him two years to get a suitable location.

Lazarus Funeral Home Ltd is located on New Dock Road, Vieux Fort and Vide Bouteille, Castries. He started off using locally built hearses and coffins for approximately two years and then purchased his first American Hearse. Lazarus has a tradition of naming its hearses after the first deceased that it transports for a funeral service. The first hearse was named Mervin after an eighteen year old young man who passed away  in Vieux-Fort in the late eighties. The company now has a fleet of ten American hearses, two regular limousines and one stretch. The company is now managed by his sons with a support staff of thirteen employees.
